THE ST. BERNARD RECREATION CORP.

HOSTS 2ND ANNUAL BASKETBALL GAME

St. Bernard Fire Department vs. St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office

The St. Bernard Recreation Corporation will host the 2nd Annual Basketball Game between the St. Bernard Fire Department and the St. Bernard Sheriff’s Department on Saturday, April 26 at 7 p.m. in the Chalmette High School gym.

Last year, the Fire Department took the title and it is heating up to protect it again this year.  The Sheriff’s Department and the Fire Department will also offer pre-game activities geared at educating children and adults about safety.  All pre-game activities begin at 5 p.m. and are free.  There will also be other activities held throughout the game.

The fees for the basketball game are as follows: $5 for adults, $3 for those ages 4-17, and free for children age 3 and younger.

The St. Bernard Recreation Corp. will donate all proceeds to the St. Bernard Recreation Department to help rebuild the recreation system in St. Bernard Parish.

If you are interested in advertising your business at the basketball game or if you have any questions, please contact Raymond Ducote at 235-8790 or Sabrina Scharfenstein at 583-6000.  Tickets for the event can be purchased at Car Craft, 1101 E. St. Bernard Hwy. or at Prestige Fitness, 8309 W. Judge Perez Drive.  Tickets can also be purchased at the door.

Gulf Coast Bank is the corporate sponsor of this year’s basketball game.
