BEATS FIREFIGHTERS
St. Bernard
Recreation Corp. hosts 2nd Annual Basketball Game
The St. Bernard
Sheriff’s Office wrestled the title away from the St. Bernard Fire
Department in the 2nd Annual Basketball Game sponsored by
the St. Bernard Recreation Corporation.
The annual
fundraiser to benefit youth recreational facilities took at
Chalmette High School and boasted a crowd of more than 400. Although
the fire department won last year’s match up, this year, the
sheriff’s office team got the lead early in the game and kept it.
The St. Bernard
Recreation Corporation is donating all proceeds to the St. Bernard
Recreation Department to help rebuild the recreation system in St.
Bernard.
The event also included pre-game
activities for children including face painting and coloring.
