Shirts Across America volunteers visit St. Bernard Parish

Today, high school students from Seattle worked at Carolyn Park, Val Riess and the Historic St. Bernard Courthouse.   Their efforts are greatly appreciated and as a small token of thanks, employees from the Recreation Department prepared lunch for the volunteers.  Many thanks again to these wonderful young men and women from the Pacific Northwest who have donated their time for a great cause!

Shirts Across America, under the leadership of Executive Director Randy Novak, has sent over 3,000 volunteers to the Gulf Coast in the past 10 years and worked on over 150 homes.  For more information on Shirts Across America visit www.shirtsacrossamerica.  Photos by Lenor Duplessis and Recreation Department Staff.  To view more photos visit
