following closings to vehicular traffic for the Judge Seeber
bridge at Claiborne Avenue over the Inner Harbor Navigation
Canal:
On Friday, June 27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane closed will
be closed for electrical work.
On Saturday,
June 28 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., there will be total closure
because of electrical work.
The bridges at
St. Claude and Florida avenues are alternative routes.

This summer reading program activity was funded
by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The St. Bernard Parish
Council staff graciously shared their workspace with numerous
library friends when the rainy weather forced the group of summer
readers inside. The next Friday Playground Performance is set for
Friday, June 20th at 10 a.m. and is scheduled to be held
at the St. Bernard Parish Community Amphitheater/Playground.
Participants are reminded that there will be no activities scheduled
for the week of June 23rd. All programs are free and
open to the public. Readers are encouraged to stop by the library

ST. BERNARD COUNCIL HONORS WES KRAMER

St. Bernard Parish Council members recognized Wes Kramer, The Violet Cowboy, as an Honorary Citizen of St. Bernard Parish for writing the song “My Heart is in St. Bernard”. Kramer performed his song for the Council and the public to enjoy at a recent meeting. He also gave a brief history of how the song was composed.
