NA meetings at the Community Center beginning Oct. 3

Solutions Group of Narcotics Anonymous will be moving its meeting from Gethsemane Lutheran Church on Paris Road in Chalmette to the Community Center of St. Bernard, 1107 LeBeau Street, Arabi, starting on Saturday, October 3, 2009.

Solutions Group of Narcotics Anonymous is a non profit group that is not affiliated with any other organization, has no dues or fees and is recognized as one of the best methods of recovery from addiction. 12 step programs are almost always advised as part of treatment in formal substance abuse counseling. Many people need go no further than using the 12 steps of Narcotics Anonymous in order to stop abusing substances.

The Solutions Group was established in 1995 as a splinter group of the "It Works" N.A.group in Chalmette in order to provide a more relaxed atmosphere for people new to the 12 step program. Saturday meetings start at 7:30 PM and last approximately 90 minutes. The meeting is open to anyone who has a desire to stop using drugs or has a family member who is addicted.
