St. Bernard Parish Update – AUGUST 18, 2020
Chalmette, LA – St. Claude Ave. Bridge (LA46) Lane Restrictions Scheduled for August 24, 2020 – November 2020.
ST. CLAUDE AVENUE BRIDGE (LA 46)
The left lanes of the St. Claude Avenue Bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic (both directions) starting Monday, August 24, 2020, through November 2020.
In addition to the long-term left lane closures, the right lanes of the St. Claude Avenue Bridge will also be closed periodically for short durations of no more than 15 minutes at a time to ensure the safety of workers and motorists during certain bridge repair activities.
The bridge will remain in the down position starting on September 5, 2020.
No closures of the sidewalks or nearby bus stops are anticipated at this time.
