In November 2024, the St. Bernard Parish Council adopted the 2024 Update to the St. Bernard Parish Bikeway and Pedestrian Plan. The update was initiated due to the amount of progress the Parish has made in constructing new plan improvements such as trails, on-street bikeways, and pedestrian projects.
The report summarizes the number of miles completed by facility type, updates maps of the regional trail network and local bikeway network and describes priority projects identified for future implementation in the short and long term.
The Parish has implemented, to date, approximately 55% of its planned bikeways covering over 100 miles.
